要往好的方面想, 就要先从坏的方面着手。 想象事情可以有多坏，就会庆幸还好现实的状况并非那么糟糕。 所以，夜间的视力虽然受到了影响，我会想：
- 至少问题只限于夜间，白天的视力依然正常，我还能上班
- 真的受不了时，闭上眼，就没事了。黑暗中无所谓的模糊不清。
- 还好看到的不是鬼！ （哈哈！）
向来不太爱看偶像剧, 因为觉得自己年纪已经不小了, 小弟弟小妹妹们的追逐游戏,有什么好看?
怎知，事情就发生在好几个星期六前。 闲来无事，扭开电视机，看见发型怪异的杨丞琳在四方盒里出现，心生好奇决定不转台。就这样，看了一整集的 "爱就宅一起", 也就这样迷上了我一向不屑一顾的偶像剧！更不可思议的是，连 Thomas 也说这剧集不错， “看得下去”。 连大男人都能看得下去的偶像剧，不简单。 是故事的纯与真让人忘记了现实生活的疲惫？ 是男女主角的赤子之心让人想起了自己若干年前也曾是一张白纸？其实我也说不上来， 就是喜欢咯。
很期待下个星期六的大结局！
I took this photo in Hokkaido but didn't feature it prominently in our photo book coz' of the noise and blown highlights in the image. Nevertheless, I like this image very much, probably because it's what I'd imagine Santa's workshop to be like. My childhood fantasy was to be an elf in Santa's giftwrapping department - my dream job, if you like. So yes, this is my dream workplace. Cosy, isn't it? *looks at picture with wistful sigh*
I felt like going to work this morning - and it's Sunday today. I think it's the stress of knowing it will be tough week ahead, hence the impulse to get an early headstart. But no, I didn't go to work. I can't go to work on Sundays coz' the office's all locked up. So I channelled all my nervous energy into housework instead. Floors and bathroom are sparklingly clean now, and the laundry's drying nicely in the scorching sun.
Gotta go now - going to expend more kilojoules on some baking! *buzz away like a busy bumblebee*
I love certain aspects of my current job. However, I also detest certain aspects of the culture vehemently.
One of my ex-bosses likens good teamwork to a good ball game, where players work together towards the common objective of scoring a goal. On my current job however, my colleagues do not even want the ball! A question heard so often it irks me - "Is the ball in our court?" Cheers if it's not. And horrors of horrors if it is - we must quickly pass it to the other team!
Seriously, shouldn't we be happy that we've got the ball, so that we can run with it and put it through the hoop? Strange game, this is. But while I'm still on the team, gotta play by their rules. How painful.
和 Thomas 聊起工作。
我： “说来也真是奇怪。 众人既厌恶又畏惧的 “暴君”，怎么反而是我的贵人？”
Thomas: "人与人之间的缘分咯。就好象金轮法王与郭襄一样。”
我： ？！？！ * 想象“暴君”以金轮法王的造型在公司里出现 * o.m.g.....
(Thomas 最近在重看《神雕》，电视又在播《射雕》，所以他满脑子都是“双雕”人物。）
在电视上看到方大同最新专集 “橙月”的宣传广告。 隔天上街想购买，结果跑了三家商店，三次都扑了空 -- 没货了! 还好, “皇天不负苦心人”, 终于在第四家店里，让我找到了附加DVD的特别版。那刚好又是店里的最后一片CD了-- 以免夜长梦多，节外生枝，我赶紧拿起CD，奔向柜台付款，在第一时间把CD占为己有！
专集卖得火红，可见方大同的创作与歌唱实力已是大家所认同的。说真的，这专集没有带给我新的惊喜，只是保持了方大同一贯的风格与水准。如果说“爱爱爱” 让我跌破了眼镜，那“Orange Moon” ，因为眼镜已跌破了一次，所以无可奈何，不能让已跌得粉碎了的眼镜再跌破一回。这也不算坏事 - 已经是近乎完美了，维持现状又何妨？
个人最爱“Singalongsong”。可能是因为方大同自己填的英语歌词，所以虽然歌词非常简单，他唱起来格外投入，享受，感觉很“对”-- “ the feeling is so right”。（反而是填上了国语歌词的版本，词和曲的搭配略嫌牵强，不太自然，我不是很喜欢。）其他推荐有：俏皮的“小小虫”，深情的“三人游”，还有藏在Track 11尾端的“倒带人生”英语demo 版"Orange Moon"。专集竟然已这首hidden track 命名，满有趣的。陈奕迅唱红了的歌，由原创者方大同演绎，少了熟男的沧桑，添了少男的忧郁，两个版本各有各的风格，两个版本都是经典好歌。
附送的DVD 里除了几首歌的MV外，还有方大同在台湾诚品巡回演唱会的无插电［unplugged］现场表演。听过后，觉得Khalil Fong的现场表演比他在录音室里的表现更赞。我和Thomas都一致同意，方大同如果在新加坡开无插电演唱会，我们一定买票出席。我们花钱可是很谨慎的哦…只能说：方大同-- 值得。
Time really flies...our nephew Brandon turns four today and officially trades his toddlerhood for boyhood. Both Thomas and I could not be at his birthday party, but we popped by after work/school nonetheless to wish him a happy birthday and also to snitch portions of his birthday cake - not that he minded, of course. His birthday pressie of printed "join-the-dot" worksheets had been given to him the day before, and the ever-so-conscientious boy started work on them straightaway, amidst protests from his grandma that he should save some worksheets for later.
